I’m a twentysomething figuring out how to adult–a process that includes a lot of trial and error. See also: the number of blogs I’ve attempted. But I’m a firm believer in second chances. See also: this blog. Currently, I live in Houston but I came from New York City…after living in Utah…after living in Houston. It’s the circle of life, I don’t know. I work at a geriatrics department, so I know what it takes to make a life count: corgis, Taylor Swift, and glazed donuts. Also, I’m a feminist because I am a human woman.
My greatest life accomplishments include 1) moving to New York. 2) meeting Taylor Swift. 3) writing. I’ve kept a daily (okay, sometimes weekly) journal for the last ten years. This is a source of great embarrassment and pride for me. I want to write a book almost as much as I want to be a part of Taylor’s squad. A few of my favorite things include dancing, laughing, asking “why not” instead of “why,” and eating. So much eating. I’m one of those people who can’t order the same thing twice because I want to try everything. Buck the traditions. Love and let live. Be the change you want to see in yourself. And write…all the time.
Finally, if you asked me where I see myself in five years, I wouldn’t tell you because I don’t want to jinx it. But I can almost guarantee it’s gonna be good. So watch me.
